Current event blog #1

What-The article we learnt about today is about the most recent Pope's resignation and the process of selecting a new pope.
Who-The people involved is most of the world, because the Pope runs the catholic faith, so that effects a lot of the people worldwide.
When-This happened several weeks ago.
Where-This is all happening in Vatican City, Rome. http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/286.
Why-This article's impact is interesting because I haven't fully known about all of this. The last time there was a new Pope was eight years ago, and I wouldn't have known about any of this back then. I think this mostly deals with political science, and history. The political aspect of this is the whole voting part and selecting, much like a campaign. The history aspect of this is all the things that have gone on in the past with all the different popes that have come and gone of the last hundreds of years, and how that seems to keep coming into play with how the cardinals select a new pope now.
